Happy Birthday, Blog!
This blog is now 1 year old, so the compulsive writer in me forces to mention it here. And the compulsive blog reader in you gets another useless piece of information.
Congratulations to both of us.
Maybe you are curious about some statistics? Probably, because you are still here. Together with estimated 40 strange individuals who have subscribed to the various feeds.
In this year I created about 200 posts, Bond University, Topic Maps and Perl being the usual-suspect themes.
The three top performing entries were
- the page about the Intro into Semantic Web course
- the Jena SW tutorial (in Java, sigh)
- the Shark lie story
all with several thousand hits. All because they have been highly ranked by Google.
In total the blog serves around 4000 hits per day which translates into 1GB of content shipped every month.
Traffic is quite international, but there is a strong readership in Austria, Germany, Norway and - unsurprisingly - Australia.
Ah, and Google advertising has made me insanely rich. Thanks for clicking on the banner to the right.
